What is Reading Farm?
YBM Reading Farm, the U.S. textbook online library and study program, was created by combining 1,000 elementary school level books by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt - one of the top 3 textbook publishers in the U.S., holding a 40% market share of the U.S. textbook market - with the know-how of YBM NET, Korea’s top English education company.
Readers take a Level Self-test
At YBM Reading Farm, readers take a Level Self-test in order to choose and read books
that are appropriate for their level. After reading a book, students can study the contents
of the book online. The online study program, which consists of three sections called
Vocabulary Quiz, Reading Comprehension, and Listening Comprehension, checks the
students’ understanding of the book and helps improve both their reading and English
skills by exposing students to various types of questions.
In addition, the books that have been studied can be tracked with the Reading History
Management System, which allows students not only to check their own reading progress
and scores, but also grasp what their weaknesses are. The online learning program scores,
which include an analysis based on question types, can be used to track personal scores,
level-based cumulative scores, and reading history. Through YBM Reading Farm, students
can improve their English reading skills.
